Special Assistant to the CEO
Nadia Rivera is Special Assistant to the CEO of Waterkeeper Alliance. Nadia provides strategic project management support and executive administration to the CEO.
For over 15 years, Nadia has supported C-level executives in day-to-day operational efficiency and long-term strategic implementation to promote organizational growth. She is eager to apply her experience to grow the Waterkeeper movement and protect our most precious resource. Prior to joining Waterkeeper Alliance, Nadia worked at VisionSpring, Inc., a non-profit global social enterprise. At VisionSpring, she supported the founder and CEO to create access to affordable eyewear for rural consumers earning less than $4 per day, in order to create opportunities to learn, work, and boost quality of life. Before VisionSpring, Nadia worked at the non-profit global environmental think-tank Rocky Mountain Institute, which promotes energy and resource efficiency.
Nadia has a Master of Science degree in Information Management from Columbia University and studied project management at New York University. She is a lifelong learner that enjoys traveling, in order to encounter different cultures, languages, and environments. In her spare time, Nadia appreciates spending time outdoors; on remote treks or cycling the streets of New York City.
