Brian Klausner

Accountant

Brian Klausner serves as the Accountant for Waterkeeper Alliance. Brian is responsible for executing all day-to-day financial transactions, providing financial information for grant writing and grant reporting, and ensuring that all financial processes are as efficient as possible and in keeping with GAAP.

Brian grew up in NYC in the Bronx near Orchard Beach. He currently lives in New Jersey and is half an hour away from the beach in Belmar NJ. His family’s favorite water activity is going to the beach on the weekends. They love to ride the waves on their boogie boards and go on boat trips.

Brian’s entire career has been dedicated to the not-for-profit sector working with management on achieving its missions. He has worked as an Accountant at the American Heart Association, National Down Syndrome Society, United States Rowing Association and Center for Great Expectations the past 30 years. Brian received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at St John’s University.

Brian is married to his childhood sweetheart with whom he shares two daughters and two grandkids. His main hobbies include exercising such as walking about 15 miles a day as well as spending all his free time with his grandchildren. When not walking or playing with his grandkids Brian can be found rooting for the Yankees or Dallas Cowboys.
