The Waterkeeper Warriors campaign features photography of waterways around the world and the Waterkeepers who defend them, with stories voiced by Alec Baldwin, Glenn Close, Larry David, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Lupita Nyong’o, Susan Sarandon and more to educate global citizens on clean water protection

Every day, around the world, individuals known as Waterkeepers are fighting horrific acts of pollution and environmental injustice. Toxic sewage, oil spills, out-of-control mercury levels, lead poisoning, plastic pollution and more are threatening communities’ ability to safely swim, drink, fish and play in their local rivers, lakes, and streams.

The “Waterkeeper Warriors” fighting and winning these battles are the focus of a new digital awareness campaign that features compelling stories told by notable voices including Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon, Jon Hamm, and Lupita Nyong’o and more alongside brilliant photography by Culture Trip contributors to educate the masses on the importance of clean water protection.

Presented by Waterkeeper Alliance, the world’s fastest-growing clean water non-profit, and Culture Trip, a travel site and app that celebrates what’s special about places, people, and cultures across the globe, the “Waterkeeper Warriors” campaign chronicles 20 Waterkeepers from Cambodia and Bangladesh to London and San Francisco.
