Comedians have a unique way of making us laugh even when talking about serious topics. Every day the news is flooded with reports of dangerous water issues, whether it’s Flint or Newark’s lead contamination crisis, the Animas River mining spill, coral bleaching in Miami, or beaches closing after polluted stormwater is driven into the ocean by heavy rains. Clean water is vitally important to all life on earth, and humans aren’t doing a great job of taking care of it. That’s why we’re teaming up with some of Hollywood’s best comedians to #LOLforH2O at this year’s Keep It Clean, a live comedy event on April 21 (the day before Earth Day) in Los Angeles at the Avalon Theater.
This hilarious night of comedy will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, with live performances and appearances by comedy greats including Ray Romano, Wanda Sykes, Tig Notaro, JB Smoove, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Nick Kroll, Kate Walsh and more – all to raise critical funds and awareness in Waterkeeper’s global fight for clean water. Tickets start at $125/pp; you can purchase them here.
Get a sneak peek of the action and watch this great sizzle reel of last year’s show. We hope to see you doubled over in laughter in LA on April 21!
