Famous for its grandeur, wild salmon, and Native communities among its glacier-covered mountains and misty fjords, the Southeast Alaskan “panhandle” is distinct from the rest of the state. Streams and rivers are threatened by mining, logging and inadequate Clean Water Act enforcement.

Born and raised in the Rockies, Guy moved to Alaska in the 1980s and spent 20 years working as an environmental chemist. Guy is a skilled carpenter, hunter, fisherman, science educator, and observer of the natural world.
