Jonathan Katz
Grants Manager
Since 1/14/20
Jonathan joined Waterkeeper Alliance in 2020. In his role as Grants Manager, Jonathan works to build institutional partnerships and manages all grant and foundation activities. Jonathan found his calling to service and activism through his love of folk music, specifically Pete Seeger. Growing up in New York, Jonathan often saw the Clearwater Sloop floating down the Hudson River and, later on, learned about its important impact on the watershed. Today, he is thrilled to be able to put that inspiration into action at Waterkeeper Alliance!
Prior to joining Waterkeeper Alliance, Jonathan worked in nonprofit fundraising and development for more than a decade with organizations in New York, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. He also works as a freelance writer focusing on the culture of food and drink.
Jonathan is a graduate of Skidmore College with a degree in English. When he’s not in the office, you can usually find him riding his road bike in Central Park, supporting Liverpool Football Club or experimenting with a new home brew recipe.
