Monterey Waterkeeper envisions safe and affordable drinking water for all communities, particularly underserved communities of color; clean and abundant freshwater flows that supports swimmable waterholes and healthy fish to eat; and a climate-resilient ocean that supports a thriving economy, offers healthy habitat for fish and wildlife, and provides recreation for all people and for future generations. We believe a strategic combination of science, legal and policy advocacy, education, and community engagement is the most effective way to address existing and emerging water quality issues.
